Hiya Peeps!
Wow, the transition from ATX to the burbs (officially a village in a town) of NYC has been more extreme than I could have guessed. But I did survive the winter and I feel like a champion.
I know how to start a fire like any Eagle Scout ever could, haul wood, melt snow for water to flush the toilets, stock up the pantry from Costco and start drinking at 4:30 p.m. cause that's when it gets dark and that's when happy hour starts, right?
I've been here for almost 6 months now since December, but it doesn't feel like that long. I know, I know, I was going to blog when I got here, but I had quite a few technical/house difficulties (3 computers crashed) and a strange paralysis from lack of sun and warmth. I'm not kidding. If a Magnolia freezes in the woods and no one is there to hear it does it make a sound? Yes! It's the sound of wine bottles collecting in the garage, cause that's as far as your traveling if forced to.
So I'm starting to post now and I will post some past pics and experiences mixed in with new ones. I know it's bass ackwards, but there ya go. Yes, you will get to see the snow pics. Brrrrrrr, dang you will feel the frigidness that it was!
Locals told me it was a pretty harsh winter.
I guess that makes me feel better, or just scared for next winter.
Man my legs are sooo white, sexy.

i am so glad you started blogging. Maybe your magnolia was just waiting to bloom with spring. Are you getting an awesome spring now, and does it mean more to you this year?
Thank you darling, I'll try to keep up with it after I catch up. You are completely right about my magnolia waiting to bloom, it was dormant. Yes, Spring definitely is more significant to me. I'm grateful and there are so many amazing blooming trees here. Ahhh life, the great adventure. besitos
